A Consoling Letter (Pingfu tie) by Lu Ji; Period: Western Jin dynasty (265–316) Medium: ink on paper
The Secret to EverBrite’s Durability: Pigment Plus Resin
This consoling letter, written over 1,700 years ago in the Western Jin period by Lu Ji, is believed to be the oldest existing work of calligraphy. The ink used in this letter was made from a carbon pigment. This secret has not been lost and these pigments are added to our resin formulations to base make truly durable inks.
Scientists from Oregon State University and the Natural History Museum in London have announced the discovery of the oldest known fossil of a gecko, with body parts that have been preserved forever in life-like form after 100 million years of being entombed in amber. Amber is the resin that contains insects. This resin, combined with our specially formulated pigments are the base for our durable inks.
G&G knows the resin it uses to cover the pigment will preserve your prints for a long time. This is the secret to EverBrite’s durability.
It’s Absolutely H₂OK.
EverBrite pigment inks are comprised of pigment particles suspended in the ink. This means your prints won’t smear or run, even if they get wet. The pigments are insoluble once applied to paper.
Worried about Smudging?
EverBrite won’t let it happen. A fast-drying formula is used to ensure the ink dries when it’s printed onto most paper surfaces. Feel free to touch EverBrite prints right after printing and don’t be afraid of causing smudges.
100 Years Without Fading
No. It is not a joke. EverBrite has outstanding fade-resistant properties due to the powerful combination of its pigments and resins. Your precious memories will last for generations. According to G&G Lab data from simulated environment testing, Everbrite inks have a fade resistance rating up to 100 years.
Brilliant Results on Diverse Papers.
With EverBrite pigment-based inks being insoluble, brilliant results can be obtained on special media as well as plain paper. This includes medical film and coated cards. With the flexibility of printing on a wide range of media, EverBrite is the ideal ink to satisfy your different needs.
